What’s the weather like in Ibiza in May and June?
Before you get packing, you should have an idea of the average temperatures in Ibiza during the last couple of months in spring. Historically, the average highest temperature has been 23ºC and the lowest, 14ºC, whereas in June the temperatures range from 18ºC to 16ºC. As for rain, statistics show that you can leave your umbrella behind as we only get an average three days of rain in May, and only one in June. But if it does rain when you’re over here, don’t worry, there’s no need to make space for an umbrella in the case, we’ll give you one for you to go out in search of the rainbow.
What to pack for your trip to Ibiza in May and June
- Flip-flops and sandals.
You mustn’t forget these when you come to Ibiza on holiday. The comfiest footwear to spend the day on the beaches near our hotel. If you do forget them, don’t worry: only a few metres away from Ánfora Hotel you’ll find several shops where you can buy flip-flops and other beach things.
- Sunscreen and after sun cream
Be kind to your skin and pack your favourite sunscreen and moisturising cream. Remember that if you’re not going to check your case in, you’ll have to put the creams through the airport security control and they only allow 100ml bottles. Otherwise, you can buy these in the shops near our hotel.
- Jacket or light coat.
It can get very warm during the day, but the evenings in Ibiza will still be quite chilly in May and June. So pack a cardigan, jacket or a light coat.
- Sunglasses and whatever you prefer to cover your head.
Don’t forget a pair of sunglasses and, especially, a hat, baseball cap or scarf for your head because the sun is quite fierce during these months and you don’t want to get sunstroke.
- Evening clothes
Whatever your holiday plans for Ibiza, we’re sure you’ll want to go out for dinner, drinks or simply enjoy Ibiza’s evenings in the bars in La Marina district in Ibiza; in Pacha or on the terraces in Stanta Eulària des Riu, for example.
- Bathing costume
Yes, it’s pretty obvious, but as we don’t know what kind of climate you’re coming from, we remind you that it’s already warm enough to go for a swim in our beaches and coves. The sea temperature is usually 20ºC in May and goes up to 23ºC in June.
- 24h garments and chameleon-like accessories.
Don’t forget to pack basic garments that you can combine with scarves, necklaces and other accessories depending on whether you’re going to the beach, a sophisticated or informal beach bar, a street market, shopping or for drinks at night. You know that with a few carefully chosen items, you can make many excellent combinations!
Our advice
Don't pack a towel: our 4-stal hotel in Es Canar will lend you a towel so that yours won’t take up any space in the case. Ask at the front desk and we’ll show you where to find them.
