How many cases of coronavirus are there in Ibiza?
So far, at the time of latest update of this post, Ibiza has very few cases of coronavirus (most of them with minor symptoms) and is one of the least affected regions in Spain. Despite the very low amount of cases detected, Ibiza has joined the rest of the country in the lockdown instructed by the Spanish Government after declaring the State of Alert (the official date of the State of Alert is decreed until April 1, with the possibility of an extension of 15 days)
What measures are they taking to contain the spread of COVID-19?
At present, Ibiza is following the same isolation and hygiene measures as the rest of the country, with special attention to the recommendations published by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Spanish health authorities. Prior to the State of Alert, Ibiza had already started to take a series of measures to protect the island from infection, like suspending all social, cultural and sports activities.

I’d like to go to Ibiza this summer, up to when can I keep my current booking without the risk of losing money?
The different rates offered by Hotel Ánfora on its website depend on whether they are refundable or non-refundable. Given the coronavirus pandemic, we are being more flexible with free cancellations and changes for bookings made before 19 March through our booking system:
- Refundable rate: you can keep your booking and then, if you can’t travel, you can cancel it or change the dates according to availability for free as long as you let us know 24h before the initially planned check-in date.
- Non-refundable rate: if you can’t travel to Ibiza, we will do everything we can to change your dates at no added cost as long as you let us know at least 7 days before the initially planned check-in date.
If I cancel my current booking, can I later use the early bird discount I got at the time?
For all those customers who booked their room or suite with a non-refundable rate and need to change their booking, we will do everything we can to change the dates with the same the discounts they enjoyed at the time of the initial booking. What’s the risk of booking now a room for my holidays in Ibiza?
The risks of booking now your holidays in Ibiza and in Hotel Ánfora are minimum because we’re only offering refundable rates and in the event of problems because of the coronavirus and its consequences, we will change the dates for free or give you a refund at no extra cost. This new policy for refunds and changes for new bookings will be valid from 21 March until May, inclusive. With this, we want to give you all the help we can for you to enjoy a break at our hotel.
I booked my room in Hotel Ánfora through a sales channel. How do I change or cancel the booking?
If you didn’t book through our website and you’d like to change the booking, please contact the sales channel you used to learn about the terms they’re applying for these circumstances.
