Take note of the climate in Ibiza from June to October
Summer suits this island fine, with its warm seaside temperatures and cooler nights most of the summer months. So you mustn’t forget to pack your flip-flops, sunglasses and favourite sunhat. But if you’re travelling in September or October, when the temperatures in Ibiza are still mild, we suggest you also pack an extra pair of shoes other than sandals in case you get caught in an end-of-summer storm. And if you forget one of the basics, don’t worry: there are plenty of shops, boutiques and street markets where you can get good replacements!
Don’t miss your favourite restaurant: book a table
Ibiza has many restaurants and beach bars that are so popular that it’s sometimes hard to book a table for the next day. Some of the restaurants where it’s best to book well ahead (especially in July and August) are El Bigotes, Can Pujol, Balàfia, Cas Pages, Cala d´Hort, Port Balanzat (if you’d like a table with a sea view)...

5 more tips to make the most of your holidays in Ibiza
It’s practically impossible to get to see everything in Ibiza in only a week’s holiday even if the island is quite small and it only takes about an hour to get from one end to another. These tips are to help you get the most out of your holidays at Hotel Ánfora (unless you’d rather forget about the world and stay in Es Canar and its surrounding area).
Pair sunsets with restaurants
Ibiza is famous for its sunsets. And the best way to make the most of an outing to the western coast is pairing it with dinner at a restaurant. A few examples?:
- Hostal La Torre: chill-out music, delicious food and watching the sun dip over Conillera island.
- Khumaras: relaxed atmosphere, fusion food and an incredible view of the sunset over San Antonio bay.
- S’ill des Bosc: fabulous Mediterranean food with a view of the sunset, islets and the turquoise waters of Platges de Comte.
- Elements Ibiza: fusion food, relaxed hippie-chic atmosphere and the sunset over Cala Benirrás.
- Ses Eufabies: rustic, simple and on the beach of Cala Tarida.

Don’t forget Formentera
No trip to Ibiza should go without a one-day outing to Formentera, the neighbouring island. You can go by boat from Sant Eulalia harbour, which is only a few minutes’ drive from Es Canar, or from Ibiza harbour that offers a broader range of trips and times. Visit a different area each day in Ibiza
To make the most of your holidays, visit a different area each day (north, south, east and west of Ibiza) or follow our routes, like the route for the northern coast of Ibiza, the cultural route in Santa Eulalia, the route of must-see beaches... Rather than taking the main roads, we suggest you take smaller roads to admire Ibiza’s country landscapes and its traditional architecture.

Visit the street markets at night
Most hippy markets set up their stalls in the evening, so you can spend your day at the beach. However, the oldest street market in Ibiza, Punta Arabí market, is only set up on Wednesdays during the daytime, whereas the famous Las Dalias market is open during the late evenings too in July and August apart from its usual times on Saturdays (morning and afternoon).
Save an afternoon to stroll and go shopping in Ibiza
When the summer is at its hottest, avoid going to Ibiza in the mornings and go in the afternoon, when it’s not so hot. Go for a relaxed stroll in the old part of the city, Dalt Vila (World Heritage) and the old harbour, buy a souvenir of the island in the fashion boutiques you’ll find in the narrow streets of the old fishing district and end the day having dinner at one of the many quaint restaurants in the historic part of the city.
