There are no nude or clothed beaches as such in Spain, but rather beaches where nudism has become a tradition. Based on this, Spain classifies a beach as naturist when nudism has become popular on that beach, but there’s no obligation to take your clothes off or wear a bathing suit where people usually wear it. The only entities who can limit nudism on a beach are town councils, but there are no restrictions on this in Ibiza.

Nudist beaches in Ibiza: Where to go
On the island you’ll find beaches that are suitable for nudism on the eastern, western, southern and northern coasts and many remote spots where it’s easier to find privacy during the busiest months of the year. Although this practice continues on the most famous naturist beaches in Ibiza, it’s also true that naturists increasingly share space with clothed swimmers, as many of those beaches or coves have become known for their beauty and attract all types of swimmers.
The most famous nudist beaches in Ibiza
Aigües Blanques
This beach is 9 kilometres from Hotel Ánfora and it’s a beautiful spot with a long-standing tradition in nudism but has been luring in all types of swimmers for quite some time now. It’s best to go towards either end if you’re looking for more privacy.
Es Figueral
Also a few minutes’ drive from our hotel in Es Canar, you can enjoy a pleasant nudist day by the sea on the northern part of the beach. And if you’re up for paddle surfing or kayaking, there’s a business on Es Figueral that offers these activities.

Es Cavallet
Its tendency to gather dead posidonia stems protected this unspoilt beach from the masses and soon became a favourite among nudists and the gay community. It’s still one of the best beaches in Ibiza if you plan to be clothes-free.
Cala Escondida
Until recently, it was only the most savvy who found the smallest and most remote cove of all the ones making up Platges de Comte: Es Racó d’en Xic, now called Cala Escondida (meaning hidden cove). As it’s no longer a secret, this paradise for naturists has lost some of its allure, but it’s still a beautiful beach to sunbathe in your birthday suit.
Punta Galera
This famous naturist spot in Ibiza is not really a beach, but rather a quarry with stone terraces that draw in fans of singular spots and nudism. If you don’t mind the absence of sand under your feet, you’ll love Punta Galera with its transparent waters and fabulous views of the island of Sa Conillera and the sunset.

Other spots and coves for nudists in Ibiza
Cala Nova: very close to Es Canar, this beautiful cove retains a central area that is frequented by nudists.
Caló des Gat: small cove with pebbles that is less than two kilometres away from Hotel Ánfora.
Cala Pluma: this is the name given to one of the small coves north of Playa de Ses Salines, which can be easily reached by walking along the beach and following the coastline.
Es Portitxol: getting down to this unspoilt beach on the northern coast of Ibiza takes about half an hour, so there won’t be any crowds when you get there. Don't forget to take water and food.
Cala Moltons: small cove near Port des Miquel that’s perfect for a peaceful clothes-free swim.
Cala Olivera: surrounded by pine tree woods, this small cove gathers people with and without clothes.
