Enjoying a sustainable holiday in Ibiza is far easier nowadays as more and more establishments adopt energy savings and efficiency practices, like the ones embraced by Hotel Ánfora these past years following our Circularity Plan. But also thanks to businesses that offer experiences with a low-carbon footprint, the ever-rising number of EV charging stations and, of course, restaurants and shops offering organic food.
Green restaurants in Ibiza
These past years, Ibiza has been witnessing an increase in restaurants that have added dishes with one or more organic ingredients or, in their absence, zero-mile ingredients from the restaurant’s own kitchen garden or from local suppliers. The following list includes restaurants whose menus show their respect for local and organic seasonal produce.
S’essenci (Ibiza)
Its menu includes in-season food made with Ibiza’s products and –when possible– organic ingredients. The best proof? There’s no printed menu and the day’s dishes are written on a blackboard. Address: Passatge de Balàfia, 7
Simbiosis (Ibiza)
This restaurant near the city walls isn’t new to the island. Formerly called Out of Time Ibiza, its vegetarian, vegan and raw-vegan food is made with the island’s organic and sustainable produce. And they stick to the same criteria for exotic ingredients that come from all over the world. Address: Carrer de Jaume I, 2
Eat is Life (Ibiza y Santa Eulària)
Their dishes are thought out to promote a healthy diet including protein, grain and vegetables and, to do so, they use premium organic and local ingredients. Addresses: Avinguda de la Pau, 1 (Ibiza) and carrer del Pedrer, 4 (Santa Eulària des Riu)
Wild Beets (Santa Gertrudis)
It was also one of the first vegan restaurants in Ibiza and it serves dishes made with organic produce whenever possible. You can expect lots of exotic ingredients and original dishes. Address: Carrer Venda de Can Llàtzer, 9 (Santa Gertrudis) www.wildbeets.com
Sa Gulita (Sant Jordi)
This takeaway restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan food made with organic ingredients. They also have gluten-free options. The menu changes depending on the day, which means that all their ingredients and recipes are really fresh. The perfect choice to eat right there at one of their small tables or to take to the beach. Address: Carrer les Camèlies, 1, km.1’7.
Where to buy organic produce in Ibiza
It’s not hard to find shops selling organic fruit and vegetables, as more and more of them offer a selection of green products from the island or elsewhere. If you’re looking for shops where they only sell these products, here’s a few:
Can Cristòfol (Santa Eulària)
This farm is a few minutes’ drive from Hotel Ánfora and produces organic vegetables that they sell to the public in the morning.
Can Zol (Sant Joan)
New organic farm in the north of the island that sells directly to the public too. It’s on the Ibiza to Portinatx road. Web: canzolibiza.com

This Catalan organic supermarket chain has a shop in the heart of the city, very close to the Vara de Rey square. In this shop you’ll find a wide range of products bearing the green label. Address: Avda. de Espanya, 8
Finca Ecológica Can Muson
Only a few minutes’ drive from Hotel Ánfora, this farm was one of the first on the island to emphasize the benefits of organic food and the pressing need to look after the environment. It’s a perfect visit if you’re travelling with kids, but it’s also interesting for adults, as they organise workshops to learn how to make bread, cheese, Ibizan cakes or the island’s traditional liquor called hierbas Ibicencas. www.ibizacanmuson.com
