One of the visits of Ibiza that you can´t miss is less than 5 kilometers from the hotel Anfora: the village of Santa Eulària des Riu. Wander around the various streets where you will find culture, traditions, crafts, local design, gastronomy and leisure, do not doubt, and allocate at least one morning or one afternoon of your holidays in discovering this enchanting village.

The essential visit

If you don´t have much time, one of the most important spots of interest of the village to visit, without a doubt, is the Puig de Missa , an architectural ensemble of great value where you will find one of the best examples of a church-fortress in Ibiza.

Situated on a hill, this small church was built on top of a temple, in the XVI century. If you have time, we also recommend that you visit the Ethnografic Museum where you will find an interesting collection inside of a very pretty and traditional ibicencan house.

The promenade

After visiting Puig de Missa, we recommend you take the road that leads you to Can Planetes, an old mill beside the River of Santa Eulària, which is the starting point of the River Walk, a nice trail than follows the river until the sea. Once there, you must continue on the promenade of Santa Eulària des Riu, where you will be able to visit the many restaurants and cafes along the seafront. You will also find many pleasant terraces in the Harbour and the Paseo of s´Alamera

If you wish to take back home a souvenir of your holidays in Ibiza or treat yourself to something special, in Santa Eulària des Riu you will find a wide range of boutiques, also you will find the summer market in the Paseo of s´Alamera.

How to arrive to Santa Eulària from Es Canar

By car: it´s the quickest way to arrive as it´s only 5 kilometers away. Although, it may take you longer to parc. We recommend you that you go directly to the parking located between the streets of Camí de Missa &

Maragarita Ankermann, just a few meters away from the Townhall and the central paseo of s´Alamera.

By bus: Es Canar is well connected with the centre of Santa Eulària thanks to the bus service 18A (departures every 20 minutes) and 18B (with stops between S´Argamassa and Cala Martina)

By taxi: in both villages, you will find taxi ranks. If you wish them to pick you up from the hotel, please do not doubt to ask for this service to our reception staff.

By boat: just a few meters away from Hotel Anfora you will find the small harbour where the boat taxis run between Es Canar beach and the harbour of Santa Eulària des Riu, which is conveniently situated just five minutes from the centre of town.
