Where can you enjoy a film out in the open?
During summer, Cinema Paradiso Ibiza organizes outdoor projections of national and international cinema at several points of the island. The Baluard de Sant Pere, in Ibiza town and the Amante beach club (near Calla Llonga) are the locations that offer the greatest number of sessions during the summer, although some other establishments like Surf Lounge (San Antoni), Santos Ibiza ((Playa d’en Bossa) and Typic (San Antoni) have also joined this initiative. Not to mention the beaches of Cala Llonga and Figueretes, that offer the possibility of watching a movie while lying on the sand, next to the sea.
How much are the tickets and where can you by them?
The cost of the ticket depends of the chosen location. In Cala Llonga, Playa de Figueretes and some of the projections in Eivissa (Plaza del Parque and Parque de Reina Sofía) it’s free of charge. The other spaces have a charge that goes from €16.00 and €30.00 and includes popcorn, comfortable stretchers or puffs and drink that, depending on the establishment can be a beer or soft drink, a gin tonic or a glass of champagne.
We recommend…
We love the sessions offered in the Baluard de Sant PereSant Pere, with the lovely Dalt Vila as background; and the Cala Llonga ones, perfect to enjoy in the pleasant summer nights. Apart from that, Cala Llonga beach is only 10 km away from our hotel in Es Canar.
Bonus
In Can Jeromi Cultural Center in Sant Josep, they offer a free of charge cinema session every Friday, normally organized within a theme cycle. The foreign films are projected in the original version with Spanish subtitles, which means they are also of interest to the foreign visitors.
