Ibiza’s traditional food near Es Canar
During your stay at Hotel Ánfora, you will be able to taste the main specialities of Ibizan food thanks to its closeness to some of the best traditional restaurants in Ibiza. Their menus offer dishes as popular as the sofrit pagès (lamb, chicken, potato and sausage stew), fried octopus, payesa salad, meat paella (with saffron milkcaps and pork), bullit de peix (tasty fish dish accompanied by rice), squid stuffed with sobrasada, baked John Dory (Gallo San Pedro)... And of course traditional Ibizan desserts: the flaó, a cheese cake made with goats cheese and mint, and the greixonera, that is a sort of flan made with ensaimadas.

- Ca na Ribes
Something of an institution in Santa Eulària des Riu and the island as it can boast that it’s one of the oldest restaurants in Ibiza. It’s on the pedestrian street of Sant Jaume and its tables always have the fundamental dishes of the Ibizan gastronomy. They close from November to March, so you’re still in time to enjoy the aromas that seep out of its kitchen and is only five kilometres from our hotel.
- Salvadó
The Pou des Lleó cove, a beautiful spot with a quaint fishing atmosphere, is home to another well-known restaurant that serves traditional dishes in Ibiza. Its location on the beach determines its specialities, where the grilled fish, bullit de peix and rice dishes are the stars... It’s less than 10 kilometres from Hotel Ánfora and is a suitable choice for these dates as it remains open until December.

- Ca’s Pagès
Only 5 kilometres away from Hotel Ánfora, on the road from Santa Eulària des Riu to Sant Carles de Peralta, Ca’s Pagès is another favourite among the locals who love traditional food. It has a cosy interior and a pleasant terrace as well as a wood fire where they grill the meat. This place is ideal to try the produce from Ibiza’s countryside, such as the sofrit pagès or the meat paella.
