It feels like yesterday when we reopened the doors of Hotel Ánfora for its second season as a modern four-star hotel after the thorough renovations done last winter 2017. The summer has raced by, but we are left with a huge amount of good memories and many guests whom we’ve been delighted to welcome and help to enjoy their holidays. But now it’s time to get ready for future holidays in Ibiza in the coming summer 2019!
To continue with our new blog section devoted to our staff, here is an interview with Diego, one of our longest-serving employees at Hotel Ánfora. Diego has worked for a whole 39 years out of the nearly 50 years that our hotel has been open in the tourist village of Es Canar. He has always worked in the dining room, so he knows better than anyone what our customers need when they sit down for breakfast or dinner.
Next year will be a very special year for us and our longest-standing guests as we will be celebrating Hotel Ánfora’s 50 years of history in 2019. In honour of such a special anniversary, we’re opening a new blog section devoted to the people who make the guests’ stay at our modern 4-star hotel in Es Canar as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We will learn about their favourite spots in Ibiza, their advice and their relationship with Hotel Ánfora. Today we’re talking to Mandy, a Scotswoman who’s been living in Ibiza for 18 years. She will always greet you with an easy smile and a cocktail shaker in hand to make the most refreshing cocktails.
Last July 20th, DJ Paul Oakenfold returned to Ibiza for the 25th anniversary of the famous Clockwork Orange party, which was the party to go to in Ibiza in the 90s. For this trip to the island, Oakenfold booked one of Hotel Ánfora’s suites, where he prepared the session for this grand party held in Benimussa Park Ibiza for the anniversary. During his stay at Hotel Ánfora, we were able to have a chat with him and talk about his work and Ibiza.
